The first round of the 2025 NBA Draft has officially concluded, paving the way for the second round, which will begin this Friday.
The Dallas Mavericks chose Cooper Flagg, the Duke prodigy with explosive athleticism and a versatile skillset that made him the obvious top choice, with the first overall pick. A short time later, the Spurs of San Antonio selected Dylan Harper, a standout from Rutgers, at the second pick, as they carried on with their rebuild focused on young players.
The Philadelphia 76ers then secured Baylor's dynamic wing player VJ Edgecombe at the third position, and Duke's marksman Kon Knueppel was picked by Charlotte at No. 4. The Utah Jazz completed the top five selections by picking another standout from Rutgers: the dynamic forward Ace Bailey.
