On January 1st, there were 23,795 BTC addresses boasting millionaire status. As of November, that number has skyrocketed to 81,925 wallets containing $1 million or more in Bitcoin – a 237% surge.
These figures correspond with the return of the crypto bull market in 2023. However, Bitcoin's price remains nearly 70% below its November 2021 peak of $69,000 which saw over 112,000 millionaire wallets.
Meanwhile, wallets holding at least 1 full BTC, dubbed "wholecoiners," increased slightly in 2023, from 978,197 to 1,018,015 – just a 4% bump. This shows broader adoption has lagged behind wealthy investors.
