Cavs and Celtics Battle for Top Seed in NBA Eastern Conference

Cavs and Celtics Battle for Top Seed in NBA Eastern Conference

The Eastern Conference playoff picture is starting to take shape. The top two teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, are still in contention for the coveted No. 1 seed, with just four games left to play.

The Cavaliers, currently in the lead, are set to face the Indiana Pacers—whom they have split their two previous matchups—twice in the remaining games. Meanwhile, the Celtics have a slightly easier road ahead, with matchups against the New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, and Charlotte Hornets. The Celtics have only one loss since December 24th, to the Magic, leaving room for a potential last-minute switch at the top.

The race for playoff positioning remains tight, with the New York Knicks in third, the Milwaukee Bucks in fourth, and the Detroit Pistons in sixth. The Bucks are just 1.5 games ahead of the Pistons, meaning that the next few days could see significant changes in the standings as these teams battle for the best seeding.
